Name of the Character

Journal Entry: Sun Oct 10, 2010, 7:52 AM

Hello people, well when I finished this last work "Gloom", I see a good potention in this character. So I am thinking to do some other things with her, like a game or an animation or both.

So how can be your name?

The way her black cloak moves around suggests black raven wings to me. I'd use something like Storm Crow (the name Wormtongue uses for Gandalf in LoTR) or Dark Tengue (Tengue are crow-faeries in Japanese mythology. Many great swordsman claimed to have learned their sword-arts from them, and many Ninja clans claimed to have gained their knowledge of stealth and deadly fighting from them as well.) She looks more Chinese based on her weapons and clothing though. But still an incredible character.

I can imagine her as a side-kick for an RPG, where she introduces herself with a challenge of the PCs skill at arms and then declares him skilled enough, then offers her services to him if he'll help her resolve a small problem. :D

Maybe - I was told Warrior from my Portuguese friend. LOL
But she could be the Queen Warrior

You will never know how much I love this work by you. I wish I could put it on my desktop for a screensaver. I love it.

I can try to think of a name, but I can give a pointer. I came across a method of naming characters. You for instance take a song or a band you really love. Then you scramble the letters and see what names you can get from them. That is how I get my names for my characters, well the ones that will end up in my manga someday =).

But the name has to be mysterious, a lone wolf. Here are a few ideas, but try the method I named, it helps.

VELVELA (וֶולוֶולא): Feminine form of Yiddish Velvel, meaning "wolf."

LETO: Latin form of Greek Lêtô, meaning "the hidden one." In mythology, this is the name of the mother of Apollo and Artemis.

RUNA: Feminine form of Scandinavian Rune, meaning "secret lore."

VELIA: Italian name derived from the Roman family name Velius, meaning "concealed."

ANDRONIKA (Ανδρόνικα): Feminine form of Greek Andronikos, meaning "victory of a man/warrior."

Well that is all I can think about at the moment. But if I had a description of her, her character profile, then maybe I will be of more help.
